The Knicks have started playing the same drop they did against Tatum in the regular season on Brown, and he's found White and Pritchard for easy pick-and-pop threes. Great screen reads by the guards, and great job making the right play by Brown. He's been awesome tonight.

Sam Hauser is AVAILABLE to play in Game 5 vs. the Knicks, per Celtics PR.

Official statement from the Celtics on Jayson Tatum undergoing successful surgery to repair a ruptured Achilles.

Knicks just scored off a turnover, and Jayson Tatum is down on the ground writhing in pain. He's holding his ankle. Doesn't look good.

Sam Hauser is OUT tonight for Game 4 vs. the Knicks, per Celtics PR.

Joe Mazzulla on managing stacked guard room with Pritchard's emergence this year: “You give the game what it needs. You trust all your guys... It’s just more about all the guys understanding that we have a ton of depth… We have a lot of trust in each other.”

Tom Thibodeau on what went wrong in Game 3: “Getting back in defensive transition. You gotta challenge their shots. They can go on runs, so you can’t let your guard down at all.”

Pregame scenes before Celtics-Knicks Game 4 tonight at 7:30pm. Celtics win, it’s 2-2 going back to Boston. Knicks win, it’s a 3-1 series lead. Jrue Holiday this morning: “I just think it’s us against the world.”

Sam Hauser is QUESTIONABLE to play tomorrow in Game 4 vs. the Knicks, per Celtics PR.

Stunning last two games for the Celtics. Just about as bad as Tatum and Porzingis could be on offense. And all the Knicks have done is make winning plays. They’ve been dogs.

The Celtics have gotten every single open three they've wanted in this fourth quarter - they just can't make them.

The refs calling that foul on Porzingis after not calling anything on the last two Celtics possessions is absolutely horrendous officiating. Awful.

Third quarter. I don't understand this at all.

The 2025 NBA Playoffs have been filled to the brim with UGLY basketball, sheesh

Celtics fighting the Game 1 demons right now. This is EXACTLY how the Knicks comeback started the other night. Bad transition defense after missed shots.

Something is very wrong with Jayson Tatum tonight. He's not even looking to shoot the ball at times, and all of his layups have missed. Rough, weird game for him.

Luke Kornet, Jaylen Brown, and Jrue Holiday have been the best three Celtics tonight. Unbelievable stuff from all three of those guys. Game-changing.

Jaylen Brown has been unstoppable in this first half. The Knicks have absolutely no answer for him.

The refs have swallowed their whistles today and Jaylen Brown has taken it upon himself to drive through any contact and force his way to the rim. Great work by JB in this first half.

Early KP review: Not good. Early Kornet review: Amazing.

Luke Kornet has been the Celtics' best big-man option tonight.

Patriots HC Mike Vrabel is here at TD Garden for Celtics vs. Knicks Game 2

Towels on every seat at TD Garden for Celtics vs. Knicks Gam3 2 tonight “Whatever it takes”

Sam Hauser is DOUBTFUL to play in Game 2 vs. the Knicks tomorrow, per Celtics PR. Kristaps Porzingis is PROBABLE.

NEW: Joe Mazzulla didn't call a timeout at the end of overtime. But he tried to. He was trying for five seconds before the Knicks fouled. The reason he didn't call it earlier? Exploitation. More here on how the end of regulation helped dictate the decision⬇️: hardwoodhoudini.com/boston-celti...

Joe Mazzulla was calling for a timeout for at least five seconds there before Jaylen Brown got fouled.

I cannot BELIEVE Brunson missed that shot...

Joe Mazzulla just ran into the referee trying to call a timeout after that Derrick White rebound.

Death. Taxes. Derrick White in the clutch.

Sam Hauser is QUESTIONABLE to return to Game 1 vs. the Knicks due to a right ankle sprain, per Celtics PR.

Kristaps Porzingis is QUESTIONABLE to return to Game 1 vs. the Knicks, per Celtics PR. He's dealing with an illness.

Kristaps Porzingis is not starting the second half. Al Horford is in instead with the rest of the starting five.

After what the refs allowed last series (for both teams), there have been A LOT of whistles in this Celtics-Knicks game. Not allowed to play aggressively AT ALL.

The energy in TD Garden tonight is off the charts.

That Derrick White block was the most obvious block I've ever seen. Saw it coming from a mile away. Can't score against that guy in transition.

‘Different Here’ towels on every seat tonight for Celtics vs. Magic Game 5

NEW from Orlando: A dislocated finger. An end-of-game chokehold. A head-first dive into the bench. Celtics-Magic has been unbelievably physical. And that was just in Game 3. “There might be a fight break out or something." More on the physical tipping point: hardwoodhoudini.com/boston-celti...

Joe Mazzulla on calling Jayson Tatum's bone bruise "severe": "I mean, it was severe enough that he couldn't play last game, and he's questionable today."

Jayson Tatum has been upgraded to QUESTIONABLE for Game 3 vs. the Magic, per Celtics PR.

Celtics injury report update for Game 3 vs. Magic, per PR: Jaylen Brown - Right Knee Posterior Impingement - QUESTIONABLE Jrue Holiday - Right Hamstring Strain - QUESTIONABLE Jayson Tatum - Right Distal Radius Bone Bruise - DOUBTFUL

Jayson Tatum is DOUBTFUL to play in Game 2 vs. the Magic, per Celtics PR.

NEW: Luke Kornet was a shooter. Then, a G Leaguer. Fast forward, and he's not only a non-shooter but one of the best connectors in the NBA. "He's just a well-rounded basketball player. He's unbelievable." More on Kornet's rise as an essential Celtic: hardwoodhoudini.com/boston-celti...

NEW: Game 1, Game 82, or the NBA Finals, basketball is the same for Joe Mazzulla, no matter who's on the floor. "It's about just having the same standard." From Tatum and Brown to Pritchard and Davison. More on the unrelenting standard of Celtics basketball: hardwoodhoudini.com/boston-celti...

Charles Lee on returning to TD Garden: "A lot of emotions. A lot of boyous emotions... To end the season here is pretty special."

Jaylen Brown is OUT tomorrow vs. the Hornets, per Celtics PR.

The Celtics are working very hard to deny Karl-Anthony Towns three-point shots. Pritchard and Hauser just both closed out hard, even helping off of Anunoby. Mazzulla got mad when Porzingis didn't close out earlier.

Celtics injury report vs. Knicks tomorrow, per PR: Jaylen Brown QUESTIONABLE (knee) Jrue Holiday PROBABLE (shoulder) Al Horford OUT (knee) Kristaps Porzingis QUESTIONABLE (illness) Jayson Tatum QUESTIONABLE (ankle) Derrick White PROBABLE (toe)
