I was working 10 meters (28.360 USB) today and got another state on my list of contacts. Alaska, which is normally fairly difficult to get. It seems my simple vertical and the TS-690 will get the job done.

Moved the radios around. Pardon the post move mess. The Yaesu got moved across the room and got wall mounted with the control head on one of the monitors. The Kenwood is staying where it is in anticipation of upgraded/newer equipment to play with. #hamradio #amateurradio

Say hello Alfie. This pretty bird is nearly 50 and lives with my parents. This was a rare moment where he was in the cage. We've had him since I was a teenager (30+ years ago). He does talk, whistle, make random noises. He's hilarious and very much a member of the family. #Birds #parrot

Nice clean install in the Jeep. Someone removed the overhead console before I bought the Jeep, leaving the gaping hole between the visors. Made the perfect spot to hang the QYT 980D. #hamradio
