Sorry to hear about Val Kilmer's passing. The first thing I ever saw him in was the underrated '80s teen comedy, "Real Genius". After that, I guess it was "Willow" which I enjoyed so much in 1988, I never saw it again. He was a phenomenal Jim Morrison in Oliver Stone's "The Doors". "Heat" of course

I want to play a game. :) #saw #sawbilly

Talking about "Nosferatu" on my movie blog www.tumblr.com/blog/talkabo...

Just watched "Heretic". Good but not quite great. Hadn't seen Hugh Grant in a long time. Still has the famous charm, but also added some slow-burning menace. Interesting, intelligent script. Grant's character's house is appropriately creepy. The final third could've been a little tighter. #Heretic

Brings to life Mozart's music and the man, himself. Tom Hulce is great as the title character but the star to me is F. Murray Abraham as Antonio Salieri, a contemporary and rival of Mozart's. Abraham won a well-deserved Oscar for his performance.

Amber, watching it snow this morning.

Disappointed to see that Alice in Chains is - again - not nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Glad to see Bad Company and Soundgarden were. Lets add several more worthy candidates-Iron Maiden,Bad Brains,The Replacements,Dio,Thin Lizzy,Little Feat,Warren Zevon #rarhof #rockandrollhalloffame

Psyched about the next Robert Eggers film "Werwulf". Doesn't come out until Christmas 2026, though. Eggers is a true original with a very distinct voice to his work. #werwulf

Watched the 1979 Nosferatu, last night. It's a remake of the 1922 classic (Almost exact in spots, particularly in the beginning). Klaus Kinski plays Count Dracula as more of a tragic figure, low on menace. The film, for the most part, is not particularly scary. There are some creepy individual moments.

“There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.” ― Hunter S. Thompson, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

RIP David Lynch. A true original. "Eraserhead", "Blue Velvet", "The Elephant Man" just to name a few. I'm curious if there will be a critical re-evaluation of his infamous 1984 movie version of "Dune" given his passing and the huge success of the 2021 version and it's sequel.

Just watched A Quiet Place: Day One. Better than Part 2, but not as good as the 1st film. Still generates suspense, even with WAY more aliens. Reminded me of "War of the Worlds" at times. Lupita Nyong'o (Us) is terrific and so is Joseph Quinn. Heard talk of a 4th film, but that might be too much.

Me, the next time I hear snow being forecast (after 10 + inches this past week).
