Beautiful story about teaching an endangered bird species to migrate. www.newyorker.com/magazine/202...

this has zero to do with government efficiency this is ruthless retribution and re-segregation by a bunch of wealthy, racist, misogynistic, revanchist white male nazis that’s it no more complicated than that really don’t look for more that’s all it is really

ah trump’s merit in action. only certain people can be meritorious

i don’t even know if crime is the right word for the illegal destruction of USAID. it is an autocratic power grab and a direct attack on the sovereignty of the american people

The people who voted for Trump because they thought he’d pull the U.S. back from foreign entanglements and overseas adventurism are really among the prime suckers of our era.

I've just returned from Brazil's largest Indigenous territory to see how Lula's 2-year-old campaign to help the Yanomami is faring. Truly inspiring to see how many SUS (NHS) nurses + docs have thrown themselves into the fight to save lives in such a remote region www.theguardian.com/world/2025/f...

A solid piece by the always-thoughtful @davekarpf.bsky.social. Recommended. 👇

White supremacy from the Oval Office, pure and simple.

i have to assume that “pursuing DEI efforts” means hiring anyone who isn’t a white man?

if there is one funny thing about yesterday’s blitzkrieg of executive orders is that it makes the “democratic opposition went too far last time” crowd look like total dipshits

Very cool — The @criterion.bsky.social is streaming the documentary portrait "David Lynch: The Art Life" free to watch through the end of January. No account necessary. Please RT

There was no other director like him, and it's kind of a miracle that he was able to do all the wild, weird and strange work that he did, for as long as he did, and mostly with studio money. RIP. www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie...

It’s very simple: if you’re trying to be a good person and do good actions and say nice things that’s called virtue signaling and you’re a bad person. But if you’re a bad person doing bad things and being awful that means you are unapologetic and against woke which makes you a good person.

We're getting the social media crisis wrong The bigger problem isn't disinformation. It's degraded democratic publics. On Zuckerberg today and Musk over the last few weeks. www.programmablemutter.com/p/were-getti...

Elon Musk likes to say "“vox populi, vox dei" when he gets enough people on Twitter to yell for him. The phrase has a history that warns against the "tumult of the mob" and urges wise counsel and good stewardship. When people like Musk lead, destruction follows. /1 with @profgabriele.com
