I just worked 10 hrs straight: arrived early to learn the ropes at a new pottery studio, taught 3 rounds of 2.5 hour sessions - 10 peeps -30 min turnover. All beginner wheel - 1 session drop in. I haven’t worked that hard in ages! It was kinda like the first day of school for everybody involved.

A day or two later and I still feel rising anxiety. Brings me back to the beginning of the pandemic. Thank goodness for art and other creative pursuits. Here’s the front of the punch needle work using the #Oxfordpunchneedle 10 and 14 with bulky wool. Location pins-ceramics and Nichrome wire.

This was the first artwork I made for the mentorship: make something not out of clay. I have four of those boat-shaped car parts that I’ve been saving to do something with. The boat represents the immigration of the 1st ancestor to North American soil, landing in what is now L’Ange-Gardien, QC.
