Getting Started

It's a real privilege mentoring beginning teachers and helping them embark on their first steps as History teachers. So proud of @lydiawigley.bsky.social and all that she has achieved so far. And I love that we will meet again as part of the big History teaching community.

Leon's story is at the centre of our Y9 Holocaust lessons and telling it is such a moving moment for me as a teacher and so powerful for our students. It's so important that we keep telling these stories. And thanks to the @uclholocaust.bsky.social for all their help with resources and CPD.

This shows a fundamental misunderstanding of why homework is done. Doing the homework, thinking, should support learning. This seems to suggest the purpose of homwork is just to generate the work. A culture of doing, not learning. Thinking matters. inews.co.uk/news/childre...
