I’ve offered up a few things to the Bsky team when I met them. Not in order, just what I suggested: - A single point of contact for community concerns, not random members of the team - An accessibility lead and a cultural competency/responsiveness lead - Regular community roundtables and forums

I think the problem is that white people really don’t notice when a space is full of white people. Not from anything consciously malicious, but because that’s normal for y’all. But it’s so weird. So, so, so weird. You should know that and feel bothered by it.

I am begging this team to hire an experienced trust and safety lead, and team, right now. I have been in gaming for decades. This is a known problem set. This is NOT the answer. We have literal giants of this space on this platform telling them that this isn't the answer. They just need to listen.

This reminds me of the rats in The Amazing Maurice (#discworld). The rats didn't fear the dark and the shadows until they had fire. Before that they were perfectly happy living in the dark.
