It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office. Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc. Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

wtf 🤬 I’m mad as hell! So white refugees allowed but not Latino or black refugees! That is true white racist supremacy slapped in our faces! We cannot stand for that anymore! Unacceptable!!!

Trumps polls are bad! And he only got 31% of America 🇺🇸 to vote him less than a third! That is the weakest mandate ever folks!

The flying public needs answers. How many FAA personnel were just fired? What positions? And why?

podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/a... Been listening for sometime and this is one of the best episodes I’ve heard. Very human emotions coming out. Very factual, no fluff. Great job @petchmo.bsky.social @airlineflyer.net @flightradar24.com

happy first birthday to Bluesky, and what a year it's been! with every day, the need for an open network that puts people first becomes increasingly clear. we're glad to be building this with you. after all, the heart of a social network is the people.

While Trump has been distracting America with everything else, Elon Musk’s staffers are quietly taking over NOAA and the Department of Labor. They are also using AI to help rewrite a significant portion of the federal government’s computer systems.

NOAA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, is one of the US's two uniformed but unarmed services. (The Public Health Service is the other.) Its members are expert professionals. They study climate and weather. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

they are mostly targeting black employees so this is quite literally just a repeat of woodrow wilson’s segregationist purge of the federal government

If your city’s bike network is safe & connected, people of all ages & abilities will use it for transportation & recreation, including families with young children. Even in winter in Minneapolis. 🚲 ❤️

NEW: Sources tell my office that Treasury Secretary Bessent has granted DOGE *full* access to this system. Social Security and Medicare benefits, grants, payments to government contractors, including those that compete directly with Musk's own companies. All of it.

TWO NEW POD EPISODES IN ONE WEEK? Indeed.

Elon Musk staff has been caught installing hard drives inside the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), the Treasury Department, and the General Services Administration (GSA).

Launch Month! 😍 Save the date - 18.02.25 - for #F175Live where all 10 teams will reveal their new liveries plus more! Kicking off the season in style... 20 Drivers. 10 Teams. 1 Epic Show. #F1 #Formula1

Just got this tip from an airline pilot

OK, you can't have it both ways, Donald. You can't stupidly brag about how you ended DEI to bring back safety at the FAA and then stupidly blame DEI the first time there is a crash on your watch.

What happened last night was, for lack of a better word, a tragedy. Sixty seven lives lost and an infinite number of questions remain. I am deeply saddened by so much loss. This is the worst-case scenario. 1/

I'm sure seeing data.gov scrub over 2,000 datasets in the last 9 days is nothing at all to worry about.

On behalf of the entire aviation industry, let me be the first to say "fuck this guy"

When it comes to aviation, there is only one high standard to meet. None of us get a free pass when it comes to our qualifications. The idea that DEI played a role in this crash without any evidence is preposterous and irresponsible. www.c-span.org/clip/white-h...

This entire thread is a wonderful reminder just how necessary librarians are in our society. It also solidifies that they are badasses!

Please take a moment to check on your friends in aviation today. Reach out, offer a kind word, and remember that these tragedies weigh heavy, even for those not directly involved. The entire aviation community is mourning.

"Working from home just two days a week saves workers anywhere from $305 to $2,357 per year on travel, parking, food and work clothes," per MorePerfectUnion.

There were no survivors after a commercial jet carrying 64 people and an Army helicopter carrying three U.S. service members collided in midair on Wednesday night, officials said. Both aircraft crashed into the Potomac River near Washington, D.C. Follow live: nyti.ms/3WHSLQC

Remember after this tragedy in DC to give those of you who love ❤️ extra love during these hard times.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a declassified World War II-era CIA guide to sabotaging fascism in the workplace has become one of the most popular free ebooks on the internet: www.404media.co/declassified...

I think some people hear “grants” and think that without them, scientists and government workers just have less stuff to play with at work. But grants fund salaries for students, academics, researchers, and people who work in all areas of public service. “Pausing” grants means people don’t eat.

Less discussed than the supposed rename of the Gulf of Mexico (complete BS) was the rename of Denali, North America’s tallest peak located in Alaska. It appropriately means 'tall' in the Koyukon Indigenous language. Alaska requested the name change in 1975. Originally it was called Mt. McKinley. 1/2
