I read the novel Birnam Wood by Eleanor Catton. I know how this ends. (Hint: Macbeth, the title’s inspiration, was a tragedy)

After my dad died of COVID, some of the people who argued about that fact (or vaccines or masking) ended up dying of it themselves. I feel like I’m about to re-live that particular scenario, but with starvation and homelessness as well as health stuff.

Anyone else having dental issues from all the teeth clenching? I’ve broken my second temporary crown this week.

I’m most disappointed with my fellow citizens, but NYT and WaPo are pretty high up there. WTF?

Time for a Futurama re-watch because Nixon’s reanimated head in a jar is better than this timeline.

I watched dvr’d tennis ALL day. Sorry to the players, but I’m going to need a four year long constant slam tournament to keep me sane.

I’m glad the Supreme Court denied the request to stop sentencing. I’m not glad it wasn’t a unanimous “Hahaha! No”

I’ve lived to see the day when a dead man is referred to as a woman’s husband and not by his own name. Have we achieved equality? 🤣

My friend from CA: “There was both camp fuel and fireworks, it HAS to be terrorism!! And it’s too on the nose combining Musk and Trump.” Me, a Floridian: “I find nothing about those facts particularly suspicious.”

Caution! Introvert batteries low warning! I somehow overdid it with people and underdid it with food.

How did the Orlando Magic pull that one off? They are down several players an one got ejected and still beat the Celtics! Wow!

As a person who took a class on the early 20th Century, I feel like there are more than a few parallels. Everything old is new again: Robber barons, ethics scandals, Sacco & Vanzetti…next up Dust Bowl and Prohibition!

On the bright side, I don’t have to worry about porch pirates stealing packages, but I’m kinda tired of seeing the downstairs neighbor’s belongings stacked in bins in the stairwell since hurricane Milton.

When you are glad that a relative is posting about feeling happy, but then they use the word “blessed” 😬🙄

I found some fresh poultry herbs after only going to two stores, so I’m feeling pretty smug right now.

Four years ago my dad died of COVID. The worst part about it was people arguing with me about his cause of death or being jerks about masking and distancing. And now those jerks think they have a mandate to cause more anti-health chaos. I hate it here.
