The BBC’s semi-regular claim of a “war on our roads” between cyclists & drivers is exhausting. Cyclists are vulnerable road users, and framing it as a battle is false equivalence. If it were a war, one side would have assault rifles & body armour - the other, people cycling: water pistols.

Had a chat with BBC London yesterday about parking fines going up. The reason parking rules exist is to keep streets safe for people to cross the road and access dropped kerbs if needed. (And of course - no one who parks carefully should get a ticket).
