Honestly, as shocking as Claude can be, it's just not there yet. I wrote good code originally, then spent all day yesterday polluting it with generated code trying to make it more sophisticated, and am now pulling it all back out to write the complex bits myself. Exhausting.

at a q&a i was asked what the biggest change was between how i saw tech when i started versus today. i used to see empathy, creativity, and expression as the default. they aren’t. we’ve over-indexed on the business case and individualism. you have to fight for good and if you stop it gets overrun.
