Keeping my fingers crossed this next script I'm writing is something I'm able to produce into a complete short/proof of concept pilot. Currently 7 pages in, with my personal maximum being 10.

Pseudoregalia ALONE makes this bundle worth it! Such an underrated metroidvania. It really shows how versatile a Mario 64-inspired moveset can be. I'm keeping my fingers crossed there's a sequel in the pipeline! There's so much more you could do with Pseudoregalia's gameplay, story and characters.

This looks RIGHT up my alley!

This is a victory in every sense of the word! It's ridiculous that fully completed, ready-to-release films are able to be scrapped and shelved with no regard or appreciation for the cast and crew who put so much work into them. No wonder the entertainment industry has been in nonstop strike mode.

It's a bird! It's a plane! It's a humungous gimbal supporting a full-size Cessna! I had a great conversation with DP Johnny Derango and colorist Ian Vertovec about their roles in crafting the look for Lionsgate's Flight Risk. postperspective.com/flight-risks...

Are there any movies or TV shows that reference the glorious "why do they call it oven" copypasta?

Been stuck on page 24 of my half-hour pilot for ages but at least I've been making progress in polishing what I've written so far.

Binged the entirety of Scissor Seven in less than two days and I'm craving season 5 right now. Super fun watch with animation that speaks to my SOUL! The fight choreography is pretty much exactly what I want when it comes to these action shows.

I listen to the Final Fantasy VII Machinabridged soundtrack almost exclusively while writing. If a scene demands it, I will loop "Those Chosen by the Planet" until the tone hits just right. @teamfourstar.bsky.social #scriptsky

To the person doing their shopping at the American Eagle in Montgomery, Alabama, you are using the wrong email address. That is my iCloud address. I am getting your receipts. I don't need to know what clothes you are buying. I don't want to know this forbidden knowledge. Please. Set me free.

PART 2 Never take a gig unless you can kill it Don't spec anything you don't control the rights to If you let them roll you, they will Do your absolute best, every single time Don't be a dick to anyone, esp assistants Know your worth, don't take less Deliver on time Find joy in the process!

Well I should say They all went for the AI craze You got 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 tech bros at a table Meetings that mark the difference between a screenwriter and a bot With a capital "B" and that rhymes with "C" and that stands for CRAP! #scriptsky #screenwriters www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjcF...

Discovering the existence of fanfiction when I was 15 is how I eventually got my start as writer, and the revelation of "wow, I can also do that" still inspires me to this day. One of my biggest career goals is to inspire others the same way. Just get creative and have fun! Play with your stories!

I firmly believe the MacBook Pro could be an excellent laptop for video games. The hardware has almost caught up with current AAA standards, and its sleek, portable-friendly form factor is a legitimate advantage over other gaming laptop brands such as MSI. However, Apple still lacks software.

Never underestimate a flat character arc! Some of my all-time favorites fall into this category, but it doesn't make them any less compelling, and it also doesn't mean they can't grow. It's just a different kind of journey a character undergoes.

Welcome home, Coverfly! #scriptsky

"Wokeness" in media, I've come to realize, is a personal balking point. It doesn't represent actual flaws or issues (structural, character, pacing, etc) within a given narrative. People will cry "woke" because progressive characters and themes are usually front & center, and they won't dig further.

When writing what was originally intended as a short, few-paragraph synopsis, how long should it be if I want to consider it a fully functional outline for a 30-page pilot instead? Right now, it's at 820 words. No sluglines. Just pure plot. #scriptsky

Does anyone else use BrainFm while writing? It's one of those things I keep forgetting about, but when I actually use it, it's such a game-changer when it comes to focus and output. #scriptsky #screenwriting

Aw heck, MICKEY 17 is probably my most anticipated film, but hopefully only good things come out of this delay. (Also, very happy to see DiscussingFilm on BlueSky. It's like a piece of home 💙)

Update: I did it :)

Decided to lock my Twitter. No sense in staying on the bird app when my nine extra senses are telling me it's just gonna get worse. Just gotta figure out how to remove the button from my website without Wordpress having an aneurism--

Slowly integrating myself into BlueSky. Will probably make a pinned post soon! In the meantime, nice to meet y'all! Happy to be here.

Our recent insistence on labeling everything as "content" has hampered our ability to engage and connect with media, not just high-budget productions but also fan projects on websites such as Tumblr. It's such a disposable way to look at the movies we watch, the books we read, or the games we play.
