I think Moise's motion re raves was even more aggravating to me cuz TO is going through a renaissance of queer parties at the moment--a bunch of new ones have popped up the last 3 months. They are popular & fun & important. It was at raves when I was 17 where I first felt comfortable to come out.

If he truly cared, he would have consulted with artists/promoters before trying to introduce this motion, but I'm glad he backed down for now nonetheless. Also, this statement is the most Toronto thing ever--making policy by dreaming up the worst-case scenario even though it's never happened.
