Can't believe Steve Bannon is also autistic, damn

Tough to live a normal life at the moment when every day I wake up to a torrent of bad news coming in through my phone and everything is both more expensive and somehow also worse. Overwhelming stressful.

Got up to get some scissors to finish wrapping up a package and came back with a bowl of Tortelline and no scissors, if you were wondering how the two year long ADHD med shortage is going.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is good fun, but the alchemy is practically its own entire game and whenever I have to engage with it I get bored and do something else. Like writing this post, I guess.

Mental health has been awful recently so I've not been posting about the newsletter much, but still writing it. This week is about '83 and the perceived wisdom that you can only launch / announce a game once. hitreload.xyz/can-you-only...

Failed games journalist and former priest Calvin Robinson again shitting the bed, huh

Wrote about.Sniper Elite: Resistance's Invasion mode for the newsletter this week. It's good. If you dig the newsletter, please consider a share or a (free) subscription! hitreload.xyz/sniper-elite...

I don't get to do a lot of writing these days, so looking back I think this is probably one of the best things I ever wrote and I'm pretty proud of it. www.nme.com/features/bos...

Reviewed Sniper Elite Resistance. It's good fun, even if it doesn't innovate much on 5. www.pcgamer.com/games/fps/sn...

@titolovesyou.bsky.social Hey, what's the best email to reach you on?

ICE raids and the anti-trans executive order already have left me fuming, so sharing this in the hope it might be useful - wish I was in a position to do more.

Yesterday's newsletter was about Escape From Tarkov, same as it ever was. hitreload.xyz/i-was-up-unt...

Shorter read today, but this week's newsletter is about Cruel, a roguelike I enjoyed for a couple hours: hitreload.xyz/cruel-is-the...

First post! Next week I'm returning to video games as Deputy Editor of the PC Gaming Show, and I can't wait to get started. PRs, devs and anyone else who fancies a blether can reach me on [email protected]. Let's chat! 💚

The wind gusts are devastating. Truly a hurricane of fire. Video: @stuartpalley.bsky.social

Catching up on the images / videos from LA last night, and amazed at the willingness to self deceive when it comes to climate change. Life as we know it is definitely on a clock, and I suspect we'll just see climate disaster hitting closer and closer to home on social media until it happens to us

Meta CEO and dog fucker Mark Zuckerberg has said that his platforms don’t need fact-checkers. So to celebrate this win for free speech, here are some of his best quotes: chaser.com.au/general-news...

Meta axing independent factcheckers is a pretty grim concession to the incoming Trump administration. Will definitely make the internet a shittier place to exist, had my genuine advice now - to everyone really - is to seek to verify anything you see online. Facts will likely be subjective now.

Back in 2021, PMG reported on the unseen games industry crunch taking place at outsourcing studios in SE Asia. Since then, the companies we looked at have continued to work on some of the biggest games in the world, without any push to improve the conditions of the artists doing that work. (1/7)

Kraven The Haunter might be, without hyperbole, the worst movie I've ever seen. Impressively nonsensical.

2024 Recap: 2024 was tiring and I hope I get more sleep in 2025.

I've been in debt for pretty much my entire adult life, but now - ignoring my student loan - i'm within £1000 of being debt free. Honestly buzzing, have been super careful for the last three years or so, so it's good to finally be in the "right place". Was basically drowning for years - feels good.

Carry-On is pretty by the numbers but there's a beautifully shot fight in a car that's almost worth watching it for alone. Would recommend.

This week's newsletter is about 10 Chambers, Den of Wolves and developers (Fatshark, Arrowhead) making the game they want to had finding success that way. hitreload.xyz/as-live-game... If you dig it I'd love it if you considered subscribing, very nearly at 100 subscribers which is a big number.
