Someone’s tearing down this house in my neighborhood. Yesterday they came and cut down all the trees

Friday morning light rain, spiderwort. Bees love it 🌱

How is this not a war crime? How this not a green light for Iran to target Israeli or U.S. civilian scientists in return?

I met Judge Breyer on a field trip to his courtroom in my AP US Gov class. (My high school was a short walk from the federal courthouse San Francisco). Good guy.

AI is a "a disruptive technology that arrived simultaneously in every classroom, with capabilities that apply to virtually every assignment, and infrastructure already in place for immediate use." A good luck at what's different with AI from regular ed tech. #EduSky #AISky #AIEdu

There is a fundamental disconnect between the K-12 public school system and the labor market demands faced by parents. Before age 5, after 3:00pm, and during the summer, parents are on their own to find a safe place for their children. I propose a solution: rooseveltinstitute.org/publications...

"We are here to liberate this city from [democratically elected leaders]" You may not think you're at war with them, but they're at war with you.

For Father’s Day, MSNBC reporter Jacob Soboroff should ask his dad about if and how the LAPD officers he commissioned were trained in these tactics.

Who is giving orders to this police force? Is it Karen Bass? If not, why not?

Reminder that I AM LATINA AND PROUD. I am the product of immigration - my grandmother was undocumented and entered the country from Mexico as a baby. My mother was a fierce, gorgeous Latina woman of Mexican and Spanish descent.

I do appreciate how difficult he is making it for Reinsdorf to move the team to Nashville.

My most disturbing thing is when my grandparents died from it

W.E.B. Du Bois on Robert E. Lee: “Either he knew what slavery meant when he helped maim and murder thousands in its defense, or he did not. If he did not he was a fool. If he did, Robert Lee was a traitor and a rebel–not indeed to his country, but to humanity and humanity’s God.”

A lot of east coast media elite types really don’t know the first thing about Los Angeles. youtu.be/WkZ5e94QnWk?...

It is 100% carrying water for the opposition to participate in this collective delusion that Dems for some reason need to answer for every teen who throws a rock rather than hold the Trump admin accountable for intentionally creating chaos and breaking the law to stoke violence. They are in charge.

Who can spot the good guy in this photo?

We hear about how pro-immigrant side is extreme. There is literally nothing more extreme than this statement. Being willing to sacrifice the country’s foundations for an evil goal

In Chicago, the zookeepers are trying a bold experiment on the teenage gorillas this summer: letting them go outside for the very first time in their lives. abc7chicago.com/post/gorilla...

About to give up on this highlights magazine word puzzle, anybody know the term for Butler or Maid that ends in “ant” ?

At no point in this entire article of 16 paragraphs does ABC mention that another cop killed this cop by shooting her in the back. Nor does it mention the name of the cop who killed this cop. Nor does it mention that the civilians involved never fired at them. ABC might as well be state media.

Even our best journalists feel the need to frame current events as a hypothetical - because to acknowledge straight-on the facts of what is happening is too much to bear. It’s coping with heartbreak and the end of American democracy.

real contender for the defining quote of american christianity here

A rule of thumb that will rarely lead you astray in this country is to assume that a riot was started by the people who showed up armed and dressed for a riot.

The LAPD whenever they think no one can see

Very grateful I tuned in. She’s doing Tom Waits’ “Chicago” right now and it’s incredibly good

You, an individual reader, can hold writers accountable. If they publish bad ideas - things that you know to be false, that are proven to be false, that are ugly and demeaning, etc. - you don’t have to read them again. Just stop reading. That’s why they put the authors name near the very top.

The Chinese Communist Party loves to talk about June Fourth, the day the protestors played right into their hands. Go ahead and ask anyone in China about the glory of June Fourth.

Does @msnbc.com have a reporter who can verify whether this is a common pattern or practice of LAPD officers? @jacobsoboroff.bsky.social
