Kids entered the age of fanfics. We're playing Trudvang Legends with a bit of rp, and daughter's priestess backstory is apparently "a bit like Gyata's from Avowed, except her parents were turned into draugr and she experiments with blood magic to change them back." Dorable.

A kingdom on a tree stump.

#AphelionRPG comes along! I've done all the rules etc, and moving towards making the first playtest layouts and tutorial scenarios. Very exciting, I was almost witnessed smiling, but caught myself on time.

I discovered Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord and Europe 1100 mod. Goodbye cruel world, I'm gonna go run caravans between Krakow and Constantinople now.

It always bugs me when game developers make confidently incorrect rules. "Bows are dexterity weapons" "sabres are good at cuts but can't thrust" and all that. Don't get me wrong, I don't expect devs to be experts on everything, or even actually using the things, but it's basic research, please.

Dreamscourge is upon us, waah.

Spring is here-ish, we're on a walk :)

I'm alive, just don't have the time to post on social media - when not working or taking care of matters irl, I'm playing Avowed.

We're watching a detective story where the protagonist's crime solving superpower are having the ability to do basic math like substraction and addition combined with basic observation skills. It's presented as some kind of amazing phenomenon. It's not even a parody. Whaaaa?

Days when I have to shift gears from one trivial chore to another instead of focusing on work, are so damn exhausting. It's 4pm, and I'm spent, just wanna watch a movie. But tv says the scifi horror I want to watch is unavailable in my country, and tells me to watch an american sitcom instead. FML.

Expanding our #boardgame collection :)

Mission accomplished, I built an ice kitty sculpture with my son. Gotta form these good childhood memories.

Cryptid Creeks is getting a 2nd print run! Delighted with the reception for our Carved from Brindlewood hack for all ages. We’re discovering there are far more Gravity Falls fans out there than we imagined. If you want one of the last copies visit our website store (see profile) or @ipr.bsky.social.

I find it very difficult to schedule time to work this month, which sucks cause I wanted to have the playtest card decks ready for #AphelionRPG and start expanding the Incitatus novel to what I wanted it to be from the start and release it back into the wild. March it is, ehh.

We had friends over, so I missed out on being on the internet since Thursday. We played board games instead, for three days straight. Highly recommended. Arcs is really good. Flux is a mayhem. Root is everyone's favorite. Thorgal works great for 4 players, even if we lose the scenario.

When we went to the local gallery for a dragon art exhibition, we knew we need to take this one home. Art by the amazing @sysirauta.bsky.social!

We started a new Root RPG campaign last night (by @magpiegames.bsky.social). A band of a badger (the adult in the room), a squirrel (lovable, but will stab you), a cat (half a brain cell), and @jakubwisz.bsky.social's opossum (overcaffeinated 5yo) are about to delve into election season with a bomb.

Were I to ever become famous in the West, I pity my biographer, who will face the challenge of explaining the influence of growing up in Greater and Lesser Poland simultaneously, hanging out around the Liroy base in the summer and Nagły Atak Spawacza hooligans in winter....

Two days designing a system and not a single word written. I did design it in full, and writing things down is a formality anyway, but it *feels* like I haven't been doing anything. You know, coming up with a lynchpin for the ruleset, and making sure it's cohesive across the board. Slacking.

It's International Day of Women in Science! A Celebrating with palaeontologists that defined the field, Zofia Kielan-Jaworowska (1925–2015), pioneer of early mammalian evolution, the leader of Polish-Mongolian expeditions that led to discoveries of Deinocheirus, Gallimimus and fighting Velociraptor.

Read it slowly and understand it. 😳🥺 Repost 👇🏾 👇🏾

After 13 hours of work, I'm sitting here trying to muster the energy to play a video game I bought myself yesterday and haven't launched yet. Will to live not found, send coffee.

Twardowski is a mainstay of Polish folklore and magical history; there are stories about him summoning royal spirits, divining the future, and playing pranks on people through a contracted devil. His story is a cautionary tale about legal loopholes and RAW interpretation of game mechanics.

You can tell I've been working for 12 hours straight when I come up with stuff like this...

Going too far with research for worldbuilding? Who, me? Preposterous, I'd never... #AphelionRPG

Our cats always walk across the bed back and forth before they find an optimal spot from which they can take up all the available space, living none for humans. As the saying goes, "measure twice, cat once."
