#artadventcalendar Day 17 "Douro" Watercolour, 42 x 26" 2015 (Sold, Private Collection) The Douro river in Porto sparkles at sunset with graceful rabelos afloat. For centuries Rabelos brought barrels of wine down from vineyards upriver for their transformation into port in riverside port houses.
