Samsung's first live demo of Project Moohan was lacking and so cringe, it was mostly a showcase for Google's mediocre ai Gemini instead of Android XR. I mean who the hell looks at thier photos and gets the urge to write a sloppy poem? Who is this use case for? And why are they clapping lol

Looks like the XR industry has officially crowned this sleek, minimalist design as the aesthetic for high-end Mixed Reality headsets. Guess this is what "premium" looks like now and in the near future!

You may soon (by 2026?) be able to send files between your iOS devices and your Meta Quest using AirDrop, as well as use the Quest as an AirPlay device, if Apple implements these European Commission proposals under the Digital Markets Act (DMA).

Here is the first official screen recording from Project Moohan, Samsung's flagship Android XR headset.

So Lynx + Android XR + Hypervision optical stack = a small form factor standalone headset with H180°xV120° FOV? If this happens, I might actually give Android XR a chance. (Btw When will VR companies move beyond the ~100° range? They're getting too complacent with FOV)

It was so obvious for people who've been using VR for years that Apple would change thier mind about "clumsy VR controllers" ....but I don't think anyone predicted that it would happen so soon. This is a great thing and probably a sign that Apple is really listening to users.

The information reports that Meta is handing out more control over design for it next MR headsets to Goertek, and for the curious here's what Goertek's high end mixed reality standalone headset reference currently looks like.

Thid is very good! Next thing they should add is some mixed reality support, even with its black and white passthrough, it would be very beneficial to add MR to the psvr2 and would ensure there would a back catalogue of MR games for the psvr3 at launch (assuming it will be designed with MR in mind)

The company that renamed itself after the Metaverse in "Snow Crash" missed the point of an other cautionary tale? ...No, I don't believe you.

I need this but for Food 😭

Is this why VR development is so hard? I bet flat game developers never had to deal with something like this
