Hearing @jeffgerstmann.com's and @nextlander.com's semi-post-mortems of @giantbomb.bsky.social is like a set of Lego bricks that fit together to form diverging paths to the present and it's been mind blowing. So, thank you ALL of you guys/gals/enbys for all of it.

This is one of those rare anniversaries where the U.S. launch date actually IS the first time the system was available anywhere. Everyone* in the industry thought Nintendo was 100% done. They'd lost the console business and this was the final nail in the coffin for their last redoubt. *except me!
