Nomad Sculpt is coming to destktop. This is the package that I'm considering moving to from Zbrush- I've been using it on iPad and it's lovely. If you're looking for something to make anatomy models for 3D printing, give it a try. 80.lv/articles/nom...

Absolutely horrendous kidney transplant rejection in a patient who stopped taking immunosuppressive meds. Necrotizing vasculitis, severe tubulitis, microvascular inflammation, and focal TMA. #renalp #nephsky #pathsky

What severe decades of methamphetamine use may do the kidney vasculature. Vascular predominant TMA pattern of injury. TMA seen in ~24% of biopsies in meth users (www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...) #renalpath #pathsky #nephsky

The army grows- about 2/3rd finished printing models for genital system dev lab for the M1 class, updated with individual structures printed in different colors. Once done, I have to print a few clitoris models, and then I'll publish everything for open access...

New one. Gouache painting mounted in an old flatware tray. “Remember” 2025 #painting #contemporaryart #gouachepainting

Looking forward to spending more and more of my limited professional time fixing the damage AI is going to cause

Just for fun I massively scaled up and sliced one of my developing embryo models (2nd in the uterine development series); this print would use about 1.1 kg total plastic and take almost 38 hours. Wouldn't do it, but it's cool to see how far the tech has come in just a couple years #Embryology #MedEd

Printing models for the reproductive system embryo lab in late May using the Prusa XL multicolor printer. When it works the output is quite nice, and the extra contrast from the structures being in different colors helps me find little mistakes in my original designs. #Embryology #Anatomy #MedEd

Our May issue is now live! anatomypubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/toc/19328494... The cover article by Lara Bennati-Madureira et al. describes and reconstructs the 3D anatomy of preterm pygmy sperm whales using CT data: anatomypubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/...

Some microphagous fishes have a unique pocket-like throat structure, epibranchial organ (EBO), that helps gather tiny food particles. New study of 13 species reveals diverse EBO anatomy, weak phylogenetic ties & possible link to diet Evans et al: anatomypubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/...

If you missed getting one of my novelty miniature 3D-printed models at the #AnatomyConnected2025 meeting in Portland, I will be posting the files under Creative Commons licenses in the near future, and you can print your own at any size or color combo!

Have to miss the last day of AAA #AnatomyConnected2025- gotta teach in the morning! Was lovely seeing so many great sessions/posters, and connecting with old friends. If you missed out on one of my mini 3D prints, I will be putting those models out as open source in the near future- print your own!

Bambu lab released their new printer. Short story: bigger build plate, better multimaterial printing. One youtube reviewer saw print time drop by 60%. Results will vary depending on model, but on the model I'm currently printing, Prusa XL would still be faster... bambulab.com/en/h2d

If I could go back to school, and had any aptitude for math, I'd be studying the universe. I love reading stuff like this but it honestly breaks my brain most of the time.

Realized I had one other model that I could miniaturize without much fuss, so if you run into me at #AnatomyConnected25 you can have your pick- this one is the caudal embryo, sectioned and "dissected" to show the urogenital ridge and its structures.

Just registered for the #AnatomyConnected25 meeting in Portland at the end of the month. If you find me, you can have a miniature 3D-printed clitoris model. #AAA

Excellent opportunity to work with an excellent colleague- quote-posting in case there's anyone in my followers that isn't connected with Dr. Selba.

When I was in high school, Roberta Flack did a charity show in my hometown, and my friends and I volunteered to help. We ended up being roadies for the day- setting up equipment, fetching things, etc. Got to sit in the wings and watch the show, it was fantastic.
