Chiefs S Justin Reid had several teams that were very interested. Most notably it went down to the wire with the #Titans, #Eagles and #Saints with New Orleans winning out per source.

I really want to see DeAndre Hopkins play in the slot. With his size, hands, understanding of space, and IQ he could really thrive there. Interested to see how he’s used in Baltimore.

I'll add that Philly really likes Jalyx Hunt and think he can become something. He has the traits they love. That's an added outside rusher.

Colts saw a major issue in their secondary ... and rightfully so ... and have acted accordingly.

The Seahawks pivot from Geno Smith to Sam Darnold. There is a method to the madness … including a slight downgrade at QB, but got younger and added a haul of picks to work with: 18,50,52,82,92

The Patriots knew they needed to spend some money to get players to come to New England and help change the perception and culture. They wanted Chris Godwin to be a part of it, but didn’t land the WR. But they landed others that help create the new culture.

The #Broncos do in fact get a deal done with safety Talanoa Hufanga per source. He's just 25 years old and can play near the LOS well, but can really play anywhere. 3 year deal with the former All-Pro that has battled injuries of late. When healthy, Huf is outstanding. Knee looks good.

Let's make this clear. The Eagles have known for a long time they were going to lose Josh Sweat and Milton Williams. This is nothing new. A priority was Zack Baun and they locked him up before free agency.

There's a high ceiling with Dayo Odeyingbo and that's why there was buzz on him. Doesn't turn 26 until September. Some I talked to said his sack numbers weren't there because of the Colts defense and secondary. He does get home. The thought was it would get close to 20 a year, (he signs for 16)

The Patriots are throwing money around like crazy. But they are also targeting players that will help build this culture Mike Vrabel wants in New England. Yes they have roster holes, but I'm looking at the play style of these guys.

D.J. Reed is a really great player. There are people around the league that believe he's better than his former teammate Sauce Gardner. Reed is an outstanding addition to the Lions defense. upgrade in Detroit

Chris Godwin stays in Tampa Bay with the Bucs. He left money in the table.

This reportedly isn't done yet. Hold on.

The top DT by a relatively wide margin, is off the board. Milton Williams is a disruptive and efficient player. The Panthers will need him to dramatically increase his snaps from the 40-50% he was playing in Philly. But a really really good player lands in Carolina

#broncos working to land safety Talanoa Hufanga per source. He's just 25 years old and can play near the line of scrimmage well, but can really play anywhere.

The money just became too great for the Falcons to hang on to Drew Dalman. Now the top center on the market heads to Chicago and Caleb Williams has a brand new interior OL after being sacked ... checks notes ... 68 times!

Godwin left money on the table to return to the Bucs. But you can't blame him. He loves Baker, Evans and they way they all play together.

After the #chiefs missed out on Ronnie Stanley, they pivot to Jaylon Moore to help their tackle need. And boy do they need help there. Also, keep an eye out for KingsleySuamataia to move to guard.

Chris Godwin really checks a lot of the boxes on and off the field for Mike Vrabel. He's a Vrabs type of player. The #patriots will have to overpay to my understanding.

The writing was on the wall. The #Steelers aggression in trading for Brandon Aiyuk and trying to land Christian Kirk during the season. Then the way the season ended once again. The pressure increased to find a way out of mediocrity, and taking bigger swings was necessary. First at WR, now QB?

A few notes this morning - If I'm a free agent tackle, I'm in a good spot. Ronnie Stanley going back to the Ravens ruined several teams plans. They all still need T - If I play WR and can fly, I'm also in a good spot. I'm looking at you Darius Slayton - If I'm a team with a S need, There are players

Matthew Stafford is probably having himself a nice little Sunday.

You could also glass is half full it I guess ... and say Seahawks new OC Klint Kubiak gets to retool the offense with helping pick the QB, and then having picks 18,50,52,82,92 to put his own stamp on this unit. Because Seattle needs pretty much everything.

Excited to see Davante Adams with Matthew Stafford. If you ask around, Adams still has plenty left. He's also been a player that has always won as a route technician and that trait usually ages well. Stafford will give him chances to make plays too.

the Broncos bring back Jarrett Stidham as Bo Nix's backup. The other part of this is Zach Wilson, who impressed during camp & grew as a player with Payton, Webb & company. The league noticed. It'll be interesting to see how the rest of the league views him as a free agent. It's higher than we think

There are people around the league that are very interested in what safety Tre'Von Moehrig will fetch. Some believe he could be a player that ends up cashing in above what was expected. Found a home closer to the LOS last year and is just 25 years old.

Nick Bolton and Zack Baun resigned with their respected teams. The numbers are good for Ernest Jones and Dre Greenlaw. There are also still other LBs available in free agency and If I'm in the NFC I'm making sure I have one too.

The Cardinals signed pass rusher Baron Browning to a two year deal. Browning had interest from some other teams as well for a few reasons. He's only 26, is an outstanding athlete with unreal bend. There's potential. Played well after the trade, AZ smart to lock him up.

Bolton is just 25 and is like an extension of Spags on the field. Coaches on the defensive side of the ball were very open the difference Bolton makes for everyone on the field. KC lost what many believe is the heart of their O in Joe Thuney, they keep the heart and soul of their D

The #chiefs thought they could find a way to keep LB Nick Bolton, the leader of their defense, in KC before the end of the weekend. And they do per source. There were obviously others very interested.

The weak WR class, and aged FA market play a part in the price. And even with the injury, Chris Godwin checks boxes: ✅ character off the charts ✅ plays inside and outside ✅ YAC monster ✅ blocks his ass off ✅ 0 drops last year before injury ✅ physical and does the dirty work

The Raiders went hard after Matthew Stafford and were willing to pay big $$. They missed out when he went back to the Rams. After that, LV had been looking in the veteran QB market and were not that in love with the options, including Sam Darnold. So it's Geno Smith.

This trade is actually good for Sam Darnold, as the Raiders were not overly interested in him. Now LV has a QB and the Seahawks, who have more interest, don't

DK Metcalf requested a trade, but the situation probably ends differently than the rumored 1st-round pick compensation.

A few notes on the "tush push" - The play has been consistently monitored by the league the last few years. - It hasn’t had as much push back as many think. - there wasn’t proposal presented to ban the play last offseason. - The play has not been used to universal success across the league.

The #eagles success rate on the tush push in 2024 (getting a first down or TD) - 2024: 39 of 51 (76.5%) - 2023: 36 of 43 (83.7%) Jason Kelce was always considered a massive reason for the success of the tush push. Kelce retired after the 2023 season.

The Broncos planning to have Drew Sanders at ILB is a really smart move. Has some pass rushing ability, and that can still be utilized at times from the inside. But what we all saw from Zack Baun in Philly (yes that's extreme) but it's worth remembering that an athlete at ILB is important.
