I'm looking for a postdoc to work for 3 years on the function of #circadian clock proteins in wheat. I also have a full-funded PhD opportunity. #plantscience Postdoc applications close on 2 April. jobs.unimelb.edu.au/en/job/91954...

To me, this is incredibly beautiful and wonderous. Such clean, small liquids are holding a plethora of molecules I leveraged nature to create exactly as I want them. Picturing it in my mind then making them in these invisible liquids is just incredible to me. This is why I'm a molecular biologist.

Two years ago, mRNA vaccine science was deservedly recognized with the nobel prize for medicine and physiology. This week, we are seeing the threat of funding cuts of federal funding of mRNA vaccine research. The latest illustration of the profound stupidity of our current timeline.

It's alive! Our work combining experiments and computational models to show that "Root stem cell homeostasis in Arabidopsis involves cell-type specific transcription factor complexes"! Amazing collaboration with Vivien Strotmann and @yvonnestahl.bsky.social! 🌱🌱 www.embopress.org/doi/full/10....

I didn't see that Orthofinder v3 was released a few months ago! github.com/davidemms/Or... Adds --core/--assign, so you can make an initial run with a few diverse species and then add hundreds more later. SUPER useful for our larger fish genomics datasets

We're hiring for a bioinformatics lead at the OceanOmics Centre! L7, come work with all of the cool genomics data! HiFi, HiC, Illumina, a PromethION, it's all there. Sequence *all* of the marine vertebrates! #bioinformatics external.jobs.uwa.edu.au/cw/en/job/51...
