It certainly is Sarah. Holme Fen is now part of an area that’s received lottery funding to invest in extended wet farming to protect the peatland and areas of Sphagnum planted to help

That’s a great little comp Tom, I haven’t seen that one before. I’m with you, I think I prefer the snow one also 👍

Love that Em! My brain normally makes up those type of stories but I didn’t see the school ground fisticuffs going on!!

Thanks Mick, appreciate your feedback. I did try to isolate the middle section more but felt I then lost the lovely hoar on the right birches which is what first caught my eye. It’s so subjective isn’t it.

Thanks David. It’s interesting to get others opinions on this. I had taken several shots that morning which were much closer in, framing a section whereas this being a wider scene felt more out of control. It seems I’m being to hard on myself though!!

Thanks Charlayne, and for the repost. I’m not so sure on the masterpiece comment but yes it’s good to have different eyes looking at it with less biased opinions to me!

Yeah I’m not so bothered with the bright patches, I think it was the comp in so far as theres nothing to hold the eye. I was using the small lit patch of birch in the background to add a little depth but.. anyway appreciate your thoughts mate

Thanks mate, and appreciate the repost. There was something about it that niggled me but if you can’t see it, then I must be getting too critical of myself!

Yep it’s really hard isn’t it. That feeling of guilt not shortlisting super images! You did a great job though 👍
