Looking forward to talking to you soon!

This snapshot of life in the 1970s with the Yorkshire Ripper at large is a fascinating read which bubbles with tension throughout by @jenniegauthor.bsky.social

I’m a bit late to the party, only just getting round to reading this book. Thanks to @jackstrangeauthor.bsky.social for selling me a copy!

✂️ Got a fresh trim this morning! Now I’m waiting for my tea to brew… Will any writing get done today? Your guess is as good as mine!

The second entry in the Antique Hunter series combines all my favourite things! There’s crime, adventure and a treasure hunt - not to mention, the whole thing is set on a cruise. Pre-order hugely entertaining book by @clmillerauthor.bsky.social Out 13th February!

Getting to see the cast of Poirot reunited and the full “Whitehaven Four” on stage was really very special!

OFFER ALERT! Murder at the Matinee is just 99p until the end of Feb. Don’t miss your chance to grab a copy as part of this Kindle Monthly Deal. Bertie Carroll, returns for the second book in this golden-age-style whodunnit series, set in the world of theatreland in 1930s London. amzn.to/3WGa6sU

Congratulations @antonyjohnston.bsky.social on winning the Puzzly! Some absolutely brilliant competition this month 🔎

What an incredible night yesterday at the launch of The Blackbirds of St Giles by Lila Cain!

This weekend I did a book trip to Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 to sign some of my books at Gayberystwyth Books! See what I got up to over on Instagram… www.instagram.com/reel/DFS1I6Y... #booksigning #author #books #crimefiction #authorlife

One of the first times that the blurb "For fans of Agatha Christie" is actually deserved - Death On The Pier by @jamiewestauthor.co.uk Marvellous book. #BookSky #ClassicMystery classicmystery.blog/2025/01/23/d...

Blue Monday is a marketing term and here is some marketing! Death on the Pier is currently just 99p as a Kindle Monthly Deal available only for two more weeks. Fill up that Kindle and cosy up until the longer days return!

Going to G-A-Y at The Astoria was what got me hooked on “lost” theatres. While everyone else was dancing the night away, I was always intrigued by the building itself – all the old features obscured behind thick layers of black paint.

I go to the gym to get fit, but I’ll also park as close as I can to the front door so I don’t have to walk as far…

Gareth @ From Keepers Cottage makes a bunch of book recommendations here, I agree with pretty much all of them! 👀 for my honourable mention…! fromkeeperscottage.substack.com/p/pass-the-b...

When a night out at the theatre can cost you upwards of £250 🎟️… 99p for several evening’s worth of entertainment doesn’t seem that bad, does it? Death on the Pier, my 1930s murder mystery set in a theatre, is currently a Kindle Monthly Deal!

Death on the Pier is back to being a bestseller again, two years after publication! Mainly due to the fact it’s currently a Kindle Monthly Deal. Don’t miss out getting your copy for just 99p bit.ly/4gVnMrM

99p this January! Death on the Pier has been picked as a Kindle Monthly Deal. That means you have just one month to get a copy at this bargain price. Cosy up with this golden-age style mystery set in 1930s theatreland.

My favourite mystery of the year was Murder at the Matinee by @jamiewestauthor.co.uk, who takes all of the classic elements of a Golden Age mystery, weaves in a modern sensibility, adds in a slow-burn love story (read Death on the Pier first!), and then brings it all together elegantly. Outstanding.

Very excited to be appearing at @favlit.org in the New Year! Join me, @gregmosse.bsky.social and Julie Wassmer to talk about our latest novels and our characters. Our event is on 22nd Feb at 3pm. See you there!

If anyone wants to know about 4-track cassette recorders, I’ve just spent a morning looking into them for my current WIP 😂 (I remember “bouncing” down tracks to free up space when I was recording at college!) Now I’m going to write a chapter that has absolutely nothing to do with them…

It’s CHEESE DAY in the West End! Cameron has some very stagey cows who work hard all year making our Christmas cheese and it arrived today! Thanks very much 🐄

I read this earlier in the year and it’s absolutely brilliant! Part adventure, part historical, part murder mystery. It weaves together the lives of three women in a brilliantly evocative tale. Anyone about to receive a copy of this proof, you’re very lucky 💛

Had a wonderful time at Newcastle Noir 🔎 Had a chance to catch up with some lovely authors and some wonderful crime readers. Looking forward to making a return next year!

Did you know that loads of London theatres used to be TV studios (some right up until the 90s) Shepherds Bush and Hackney Empire, Peacock, Gillian Lynne and Playhouse have all spent time as TV studios… 🎭📺 Check out the full video on Instagram: www.instagram.com/share/BAR50f...

Just finished my first ever short story (for a competition)… Two words off the max word count! Is it pedantic of me to want to add two extra words now?
