Long overdue for a checkin. 😅 We made it to Oregon successfully and I’m officially an Oregon resident now! Took us just over a week to reach the important milestone of all of our stuff being in the house (even if still in boxes), and I have at least once called the new house “home”. Hiatus over?

The Bush administration disappeared people too, sent them to a different gulag at Gitmo and other black sites, kidnapped people off the street of Milan, tortured them, in the name of "a different kind of war." We didn't come close to holding them accountable. We're seeing the cost of that now.

Another small hiatus life update—we closed on the new house today! Less than two weeks left in Texas, and I’m eager for us to be gone. At the same time, it’s sad to leave so quickly; there are so many things to say good-bye to that I won’t be able to properly see myself off from.

Since I had to do that repost, a normal post (read: status update) is ok too, as a treat. We made an offer on a house! A moving pod is in our driveway! My 42-year old Volvo 240 finally made its way to a shop to be either restored or used as parts! We are actually leaving the state! More soon.
