The greatest business battle EVER to be fought will come when President Elon starts trying to implement AI for federal processes. The battle will be fought over which company’s AI will be used by the feds. This is a zero sum battle that will create more chaos than this country has ever seen

I have been talking to the media, Time, Fortune, NBC, etc., to explain how the onslaught on science and NIH will impact the health of all Americans. Everyone knows someone who has cancer, heart disease, or depression. Spread the word about how cutting science impacts all. time.com/7216299/nih-...

"Standing in the Light: Protecting the Vulnerable in Uncertain Times" Sunday, February 16 - 10:30am In the coming months and years, we are called to be a steadfast presence for those most vulnerable among us - our LGBTQ+ family, immigrants, BIPOC communities, and all who face systemic injustice.

5/ Build community: Share the cognitive load. Different people track different issues. Network intelligence beats individual overload. Remember: They want you scattered. Your focus is resistance.

Look for those explaining patterns, not just events. 3/ Remember: Feeling overwhelmed is the point. When you recognize this, you regain some power. Take breaks. Process. This is a marathon. 4/ Practice going slow: Wait 48hrs before reacting to new policies. The urgent clouds the important.

What now? 1/ Set boundaries: Pick 2-3 key issues you deeply care about and focus your attention there. You can't track everything - that's by design. Impact comes from sustained focus, not scattered awareness. 2/ Use aggregators & experts: Find trusted analysts who do the heavy lifting of synthesis

3/ Agenda-setting theory explains the strategy: When multiple major policies compete for attention simultaneously, it fragments public discourse. Traditional media can't keep up with the pace, leading to superficial coverage. The result? Weakened democratic oversight and reduced public engagement.

2/ Media theorist McLuhan predicted this: When humans face information overload, they become passive and disengaged. The rapid-fire executive orders create a cognitive bottleneck, making it nearly impossible for citizens and media to thoroughly analyze any single issue.

1The flood of 200+ executive orders in Trump's first days exemplifies Naomi Klein's "shock doctrine" - using chaos and crisis to push through radical changes while people are too disoriented to effectively resist. This isn't just politics as usual. It's a strategic exploitation of cognitive limits.

With thanks to Emily Pearl: Wise and important words from sociologist Jennifer Walter about what is happening in this country right now and what to do about it: "As a sociologist, I need to tell you: Your overwhelm is the goal.

I am 71 and just learned yesterday that coming to the US is NOT illegal! It is a civil infraction - not a criminal one. That means the term “illegal alien” which I have heard all my life is a complete misnomer. They are not “illegal”, they are undocumented- they are not criminals for just being here

Can someone confirm for me that POTUS (Biden) just added the equal rights amendment to the constitution?? If true, this is HUGE!!!

I love how these “alpha males” hide behind their moms when the going gets rough: Nick Fuentes and Pete Hegseth…. Who is next?

South Korea just showed us how it’s done!

Rachel is really hitting all the marks tonight!! You GO girl!!
