Wenn ich Politiker-Bücher aus den 2010ern durchsehen, wird mit klar, internationale Politik wurde unter dem Eindruck der #Finanzkrise von 2008 halt fast ausschließlich aus wirtschaftlichspolitischer Perspektive gedacht. Das dürfte eine sehr gute Erklärung für den damaligen Umgang mit #Russland sein.

Hey any intelligence studies folk, I am struggling to find an FOIAed OSS/CIA document from David Bruce to Bill Donovan. The reference in the book I'm looking at reads: "DB to WJD, March 20, 1943, Bruce File, CIA FOIA." Try as I might I can't find the "Bruce File". Any tips? #intelligencestudies

Putins Ziel sei das Ende der NATO, so BND-Präsident Kahl bei der @dgapev Im russ Verteidigungsministerium gehe man davon aus, dass die NATO am Bündnisfall zerbreche, zB. durch Aktionen in Litauen o. Spitzbergen. Putin wolle in einer NWO beherrschenden Einfluss in Europa ausüben.

Analysed for @carnegieendow.bsky.social the multidimensional challenge that Russian hybrid warfare poses to European countries. Democratic societies are vulnerable to attacks in ways that can’t fully be prevented if democracy is to prevail. That requires flexibility and creativity in responding.
