I need to get better with is calendar management and organizing my life. I've basically winged it through my 42 years, but my life isn't very efficient and I let procrastination lead a lot of my personal life around hobbies and projects. Gotta change it.

Finally got the protein skimmer tuned pretty well in the sump of the living room reef tank. Between the skimmer and this Bashsea bio-reactor this tank should be able to handle a pretty decent amount of fish. I need a bigger house so I can have a bigger or more tanks lol

Here is the new fish buddy we introduced to the living room reef tank today. An aquacultured yellow tang that'll yellow up when it matures a bit more.

It's raining it's pouring in a few days this bioreactor media should be churning. Shout out to @chezlin.bsky.social for doing the PVC cement on the pipe I cut and dry fit. I ran to Aquatic Specialties for some clean up crew for their 25% sale.

Y'all it trips me out that Waymo is coming to New Orleans. This is like you started playing Animal Crossing and decided you liked video games and jumped right into Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree.

There is a bunch of private jets down here for some reason. We will probably never know why.

A little ruck today for lunch break. 5.12 miles in 1.5 hour with 30 pounds in the bag. Not too shabby.

In March I'm going deep sea fishing for the first time in my life. Very excited for it. Not sure where I'll store all the possible tuna though. I'll make it work. Order a delivery deep freeze on the way home from Venice if I must. lol

My Mom and I talked about food and she told me about a book she was reading about eating real food. Then we talked about how Rachel and I try to cook non-processed food as often as possible. She text me later and said she's craving a steak. She had me walk her through cooking it.

I did my 46 minute walk today and while doing that bit of a ruck I talked to my Mom who is retired, but stays quite busy. She was in the waiting room because she drives people from her church & 55+ neighborhood to the doctor and such. Pretty rad.

Y'all I forgot how good savory sweet potatoes are. Nommmmsss tonight was mashed savory sweet potatoes, garlic lemon roasted chicken thigh, and yummy lemony butter green beans.

Phew, did a 2.6 mile ruck for my second attempt at it. 46 minutes for 2.6 miles with 30 pounds in the bag. 17ish minute mile isn't TOO bad, but goal is down closer to 13 minutes. I'll get there. It's a lot better than just sitting at my desk that's for sure.
