I see raw decision but no meta-review or final reviews. Do we know when these will be available and hence if these raw decisions are intentionally out and accurate??!!

Thank you to all the reviewers, ACs, PCs; it's a massive operation now. While every decision may not be the "right one" I know many people have worked very hard to get to this point.

Great to chat @mirandanazzaro.bsky.social! Spot on as well: what we're experiencing is a chaotic dismantling of everything that is forward-looking and/or principled when it comes to AI safety and research under the guise of fiscal responsibility.

"Hearting" this message seems wrong. So, I'm replying instead to acknowledge this message. ...and the travesty it represents.

My X feed is littered with chaotic, misguided, ill-informed anarchy. It's mind-numbing to be on X right now. In the last two weeks I went from a regular X user to one ready to cancel my account.

Ah, this is quite nuanced. These essentially are procedure. But, this means it is not really usable for notions of instruction and mistake detection because there was no prescribed goal.

Cool. Are there procedures to the videos/actions or are these just general egocentric videos?

Completely missed that.

Oh, it's an example IMO that would have benefited from more space to write more description. That's all I meant.

Inevitably leads to hard/impossible to understand/reproduce terse text. This was the impetus of me making the post.
I mean, eg, let's take a paper / idea everyone clearly thinks is impactful. Transformers... But, have you, umm, read the Attention is all you need paper? Impossible to understand.

But what was the real challenge --> did the market impact of submitting a ridiculously too long paper not have time to mature. I think the market is a powerful beast.

What are things one should absolutely not do in a rebuttal?
I mean from content to latex magic. I feel like a latex magician today

Against:
- Will increase the reviewer burden (but market effects will likely balance that)
- Page limits encourages good writing discipline
- May create burdens for low-resourced authors

2/n
For:
- encourages more comprehensive work
- aligns with community preprint trends
- eliminates need for supplemental materials which are often confusing
- does not create artificial incentive to write confusing terse narratives

Cool let's see. That video content is valuable for education and it'd be great if it is out there...yes even 20 years later!

I remember that effort. I think I talked about Monsters Inc in one segment. A commendable effort to this day that led me to create a first year student class on CV in the movies. Good stuff.
Couldn’t you put it up on YouTube now and argue for educational use?

Definitely agree here that there is so much more data at the ready. Imagine the experiment where everyone with a smart phone recorded just one hour of their day….
Whether or not it’s a good thing for us to continue believing scale is the answer is another story.

I dedicate a whole page in my lab handbook to raster v vector when, where and why.
