One of my all-time favorite pop moments is the interlude on “Lady Marmalade” right before Christina Aguilera’s verse - where everyone goes “Marmalaaaaade” and Christina revs up, “Ooh, oooOH!” It’s the pop equivalent of a star closer sprinting to the mound at the top of the ninth. Chills every time
