Always looking for hope--

Always looking for some hope--

Since I’ve been getting this a lot - if you feel like supporting me by buying a jersey or something, I would rather you make a donation to Trans Lifeline or The Trevor Project www.thetrevorproject.org

Worst. Episode. EVER.

You can try all you want to "erase" Trans people. But there are only two outcomes of this ridiculousness of the fascists government 1. The fascists will be removed from power. History is on our side about that. 2. Trans people will still exist. History proves that. #SheShed #Voices4Victory

The Democrats have brought a lectern to a social media war. Sports editor Dave Zitrin, @edgeofsports.bsky.social, nails it! "Faced with existential threats from the right, the Democratic leadership remains timid; faced with demands for justice from the left, it goes on the attack."

Among the DNC Democratic Party's many sins is the inability to read the room . Ironically, @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social book is called the ABCs of Democracy!

More of this. The fuck are you doing promoting a book when the country is falling apart?

If you’re wondering why I declined to talk to the NYTimes, then you haven’t been following my account for very long. They bear a direct responsibility for the current situation we find ourselves in, and I responded by laying out my position and that I would only talk to @jamellebouie.net

Timothy Snyder is an expert of modern authoritarianism.

I've noted some of the procedural things Democrats could be doing in Congress, but this point from @edgeofsports.bsky.social's great piece in the Nation deserves emphasis. This is basic politics, and it's baffling that every Democrat isn't doing it every day. www.thenation.com/article/poli...

For no particular reason, what the Commonwealth of Virginia thinks about kings.

I'm normally cynical about politicians but this is statesmanship. It is affirming republican civic virtue. Not irony-poisoned snark, not focus-grouped talking points. The oath to the Constitution matters, and it's time to speak plainly and earnestly about how our fundamental principles are at stake.

The root that tears apart your foundation begins as a seed of distrust, hate, and blame. The seed that grew into a dictatorship in Europe didn’t arrive overnight. It started with everyday Germans mad about inflation and looking for someone to blame.

I don't think any deal between trump and putin will be acceptable to Ukraine. Not sure why those two thugs are talking?

Wherein Elon says the quiet, corrupt part out loud: He intends to steal the private IRS data of his political enemies. How soon before he does the same to his economic competitors? Or you?

so far going anti-woke leads to less money and planes falling out of the sky

Reagan gets too much blame. The real villain of modern politics is Paul Weyrich, co-founder of: The "Religious Right" Heritage Foundation ALEC & CNP He hated that America was a democracy. Shouldn't shock you 40 yrs later, his organization would brag about creating voter suppression laws. 🧵

the mild, non-confrontational obama formula for inclusiveness was so intolerable to a substantial chunk of the country that they put a outer borough george wallace into the white house. like, what are we talking about here?

“The thing that I can’t get over is that the actual richest man in the world directed my fucking firing. I make $50k a year and work to keep drinking water safe. The richest man in the world decided that was an expense too great for the American taxpayer.”

All comic book/sci-fi nerds who refuse to say Gulf of America is canon will be barred from the WH briefing room.

I’m not dropping my motion for sanctions against his lawfare firm for filing frivolous lawsuits. This was never going to court and I was never backing down. I still want to know how a single factual tweet cost him $150M? Seems easy to answer. I have zero assets, zero fucks, and lots of time.

Rip the band-aid off, Stu. Let’s do it.

It is perfectly legal to know your rights and to educate others about them, too. EVERYONE in the United States, citizen or not, has rights. I will not allow this administration to intimidate us from helping you know about them. Here’s our shareable guide ⬇️: (pt. 1/2)
