Last week the WH press secretary cited about $35 mil in ill-spent USAID money. There are two well-known logical fallacies: 1) argument by anecdote—not everyone agrees! 2) hasty generalization—based on less than .9% that ALL of the $40 billion in annual money is ill-spent. $40 bil = many many lives!

“Restoring merit-based hiring” slips in a false dichotomy - suggesting that diversifying means hiring is not based on merit and implies organizations can’t do both at the same time. Makes perfect sense I’m sure if someone is not fully engaging their capacity for human thought.
