Exactly!! Which is why I chose to pursue the matter. Thank you for the constant support @nat.org.uk.

Thank you Paul 🫶

Missing Myra? 🥹 Of course you are. It’s only to be expected. But fret not, because the razor-sharp witted, wildly-empathetic one returns home in a few weeks! 🥰 🎟️ vauxhalltavern.com

Okay I’m going into a phone meeting with Specsavers this afternoon. Let’s see what they’re doing!

Gutted to have not known this was showing. Catch its last day today if you can.

❤️❤️❤️❤️

I don't think there was anyone in the LGBTQIA community of my generation who wasn't affected by AIDS. Even in a vastly rural county like ours, I knew several men affected. Most sadly didn't make it. Thankfully some did, but it left scars on us all.

I was determined to view the full UK AIDS quilt in the short time it’s on display at Tate Modern, and today that’s what I did. So full of emotions. People who, like me, should still be here. I will never forget. That’s my promise to all of those who came before me and were taken far too soon.

I don’t get melancholy about father’s days because even when my dad was alive he didn’t particularly like it - said it was all a load of made-up shite. 😆

I’m no puritan, but seeing gay men in particular mark sober milestones makes me happy because I’ve seen quite profoundly how addiction in our community destroys and even takes lives. Huge respect for those going through the process.

NEED to see the new Evita at the palladium with Rachel Zegler. One of my fave musicals!

After a week I’ll never forget, this weather is giving me LIFE 🥰

Yesterday the audiology group clinical lead from Specsavers called me and we spent some time talking about my experience of being refused earwax removal treatment from the company because of my HIV status and how to resolve the matter for me, and importantly, going forward, everyone else who’s HIV+.

Reason #945 why Liverpudlians are some of the best folk around. Following the cancellation of this year’s Liverpool Pride due to “financial challenges”, the gay bars have pulled together to put on Pride for the community. Legends! 🏳️‍🌈

In a way we’re all a Buddhist monk waiting for a train at Runcorn.

Today I’ve had constructive conversations with National AIDS Trust regarding yesterday’s incident which is ongoing. I want to thank everyone for their support. All I want is for some positive to come from my negative experience so that others don’t face such discrimination. Will update as and when.

Morning. Today I’m wearing your nan’s jumper which means I mean business.

Specsavers apparently. And the policy is completely batshit. You can’t get HIV from ear wax (even if you weren’t undetectable on treatment)

It’s June 2025 and I’ve just been refused ear syringing treatment because of being HIV+ (despite explaining that I’m undetectable). Stigma never ends

The thing I hate most about modern adult life, is there’s always things to DO. It’s a never ending to-do list of emails, replying to texts, social media, admin ad nauseam. It wasn’t like this before smartphones 👵🏼 People could and did wait a few days.
