man it is criminal that the "call them weird" people lost somehow, because like. are you seeing this shit

i sincerely love and endorse "hours of aimless wandering" for a bunch of reasons but chief among them is that it's something even a completely broke person can do

everything else aside, faux-jargon used in entertainment industry media sets my teeth on edge. "[actor]-starrer" is some real solution-in-search-of-a-problem shit

when it comes to something like this, you can treat the first one as something worthy of conversation. every subsequent fucking *hitler salute being done by a person who knows they're being photographed* is absolutely a distraction

if i got an email where somebody told me i "put a big smile on Satan's face" i would print and frame it

where did you get the idea that that's what that means

y'all: it's impossible to get a job right out of college these days DOGE: y'all: no not like that smh

You must be one of Shit’s Pieces

functionally a distraction: the "salutes"—they can't simultaneously be "everybody knows what this is" and also something worth talking about infinitely. we had this problem in the run up to the election, where every new hitler sentence was treated like new information about trump's/musk's character

it has a certain je ne sais rien

*slamming my lunch tray* legalize comedy. freaking make damn comedy legal again

i've been trying to pinpoint what i think about the "distraction" discourse and ultimately i think i've landed on: he almost certainly does mean to do any given thing that comes out of his mouth and also a lot of it just becomes a thing everybody argues about while he does the other bad stuff

nasty of course but also not actually any more unhinged than him calling that guy 'pedo guy' seven years ago

kind of wild how every big tech product of the last (whatever) has just been A Big Trap Door To Stand On with the only differences being how long before it opens and how far you fall once it does

honestly this is like the sun rising in the east to me. it was a junk product from day zero and everyone knew it and i'm surprised it took them this long to do the thing everybody knew they were going to do lmao

this is why—even when it comes to podcasters (or whatever) that you actually like—they should be regarded as people who are always on vacation. because that is their job: being on vacation every day
