I could totally envision a scenario where aliens invaded and it it ended up being the best thing that ever happened to us. Nothing points to the worst aspects of humanity like our inability to choose leaders wisely.

An acquaintance of mine on Facebook posted ahead of the decapitated rattlesnake that bit her dog. She tracked it down and guillotined it herself. I'm glad her dog is all right, but I'm not sure how I feel about her making a public display of violence against an animal even if it was dangerous.

Microsoft just gave everyone a very practical reason to boycott the Xbox. Their brand has a very small market share compared to Sony and Nintendo. I wonder if this is part of an internal struggle to get out of the console business. They can make more money consolidating their PC and Xbox platforms.
