Ponce City Market, before & after the parking lot was developed. When this project was proposed, the dismay voiced by locals was extraordinary; I'm eager to know what folks think of the results. To my eyes the buildings look natural & logical. I'm purely talking about pedestrian-level aesthetics.

Cool photo. Add a bike lane, some places to buy groceries, a bus route, a little more housing, address some pedestrian hazards...this could be an ideal urban place. Centennial Park Drive. My guess is that we'll just repave the roadway and call it a day but we should dream big.
