My wife won her local election, along with a slate of Democrats who absolutely SMASHED the Republicans they ran against. They flipped long-held Republican seats. It was a lot of hard work, but feels great now. Proud of them all. It’s nice to see the good guys get a couple. We fight on.

This is the first of what I think are going to be A LOT of primary challenges along these lines.

First verse gets all the press, but don’t sleep on this part of #NotLikeUs. To me, this is what truly sets this track apart. Sure there are nasty punchlines, but it mixes in heavy social commentary as well (complete with associated visuals in the video). It’s not *just* a diss track.

This verse viewed through the lens of this moment. Damn.

But but, he said… Ah fuck it. You know where I’m going with this.

This is absolutely wild (article linked below).

That’ll do.

Different kind of Thanksgiving this year. I could get used to it.

🤦‍♂️

When you want to play but the hoomans are doing other stuff.

Remember when we crammed like a decade worth of stress into March / April 2020? January / February 2025 seems headed that direction. I hope I’m wrong.

How I arrived at Bluesky…

Will keep the South African wildlife theme going today. Here’s a Cheetah being photobombed by a giraffe. If you ever have a chance to do an African safari, take it. Just amazing.

Current sentiment.

Ok, posted some photography stuff. Back to politics. WUT DA FUQ WHY (Rhetorical)

The sun is pretty photogenic if you catch it right. Doesn’t matter so much where you are… just need to keep an eye out. All of these were taken with a phone. 3/4 were taken in everyday (suburban U.S.) places. One was in Cairo (over the Nile River). For good measure. 🙂

Going to try taking more breaks from politics to share other stuff. We’ll see how it goes. Here are some South African house kitties. 🐱 😏 Taken at Madikwe Game Reserve a few years back. #wildlifephotograpy

Good god the hits just keep on coming. 🤦‍♂️

“They died building the railroads, worked to bones and skin / They died in the fields and factories, names scattered in the wind / They died to get here a hundred years ago, they're still dyin' now / The hands that built the country we're always trying to keep down”

It has recently come to my attention that this is a thing that exists. In real life. What a world it is.

So many people who worked so hard over the last few months. Put themselves out there. Made calls. Knocked doors. Wrote cards. Had tough conversations. Probably burned some bridges as a result. Only to look up on Election Day and say, “What the fuck is this now?”
