Holy shit

The IRS is a critical employer in KC. Not only will these federal layoffs be devastating to those 1,000 families, but it will have ripple effects throughout KC's economy.

New story concerning the devastating layoffs targeting nearly a thousand federal workers in Kansas City, MO that are members of @nteu66.bsky.social. This story will continue to be updated as new information comes in.

BREAKING NEWS: Just received word that nearly 1,000 federal union members in Kansas City will be laid off tomorrow. These workers are at the IRS campus across from Union Station and are all probationary. ~40 temp workers through a temp service were laid off moments ago.

If you don't think more money is gonna fix anything, why give them more money? We need MO's DOGE on this ASAP

Here's a quick compilation of maps showing how Missouri has voted since 1996, the last time a Democratic Presidential candidate won the most votes in my home state. Though our urban centers have shifted slightly more to Democrats, our rural areas have become deeply Republican.

This weird little corrupt town named River Bend is actually in North of the River, but also a part of Jackson County. Isn't that a little odd? Kansas City has so many quirks in our political geography.
