Vice President Vance is wrong here. The Ukrainians don’t need a credible path to victory. They just need a credible path to not losing (like the Vietnamese did against the French and then against us for example). And, because the Ukrainians have that, VP Vance’s entire position falls apart.

worth stressing, again, that this was not actually the project 2025 plan, the plan was to take an entire term and the actions were to be taken more carefully precisely to *avoid* the kinds of legal and logistical challenges they’re setting up

I think what we are in for is a century (at least) of one-party rule, like the PRI in Mexico.

Republicans stop fighting the Auschwitz Museum about Nazis Challenge

how about that

Praying this doesn't come across as sane-washing: In any opening "discussions" on the topic, Canada's government should make clear that it would only even consider going to its people with the idea of coming into the U.S. if the US agrees that Canada would come in as ten states (one per province).

succinct article. gets straight to the point

Everyone should absolutely step up but I also think you need to prepare yourself for the possibility that Democrats will not take kindly to anyone stepping up from outside the club. Ask me how I know

Amazon demonstrating the vaunted efficiency of the private sector. (Q: So why is Amazon’s stock price so high then? A: It’s a bubble.)

Cybertruck is the biggest flop in modern American history. Sales are pathetic compared to full sized trucks, Tesla has blown through its reservations, they are having to drop prices to keep sales moving, and it has been subject to more defects than any new launch in memory, plus seven recalls.

Good morning, Bluesky. Just a typical walk to the bus stop, where I reviewed the dates on our passports, explained the concept of "go bags," & tried to explain what would dictate our choice of destination. "How about Berlin?" "Well, that would be richly ironic." "Why . . . . oh."

amazing work

If you say "government expenditure is 23 percent of GDP," people think that's bad, that's "big government." But if you state that same fact this way -- "government expenditure is 23 percent of everyone's income" -- then people start to think about it very differently.

Such stubby little fingers. (Yes, am aware it’s AI. But to me it’s still quite funny🙂)

Do NOT like that Fetterman did this, but DO like that it makes Netanyahu look like a midget.

Mark it down: Today’s employment report, for Jan 2025 and the last of the Biden admin, was a SOLID one. In other words, Trump has no excuse. The economy was in good shape when he was handed the baton.

Of course this is utter, loop-di-loop insanity. But it is nonetheless quite wonderful that Netanyahu is visibly shitting his pants.

When did this term “warfighter” come to be everywhere?

The 1998 Wakefield Study was fraudulent. The idea that vaccines cause autism originated from that study. The study was retracted and Wakefield lost his medical license.

Not a great look @royalfarms.bsky.social

people have been calling me a crank for calling elon musk a fraud and a liar for going on a decade now, fuck 'em

I dunno. I dunno what to do or think these days. I guess I will just keep trying my best in each moment.

🤩 i live in the most ridiculous state there is. A literal governor in a wheelchair arguing against DEI.
