I just heard @neildegrassetyson.com say that our solar system is hurtling through outer space at a rate of 2.1 million kmph. So if my math is correct, that means that we are racing through outer space at a rate of about 362 mph per SECOND. 🤯 That is both so cool and so impossible to fathom!

A friend of mine who moved to DC a few years ago to start her dream job was unceremoniously stripped of her job today. One of thousands of federal workers who are facing the same thing, but it hits close to home. Trump is systematically dismantling our government, and it’s not right or okay.

I flew with River up to Boston today & ran into a couple of angel humans on the way. One lady helped retrieve River’s carrier from the scanner belt at TSA, and another lady happened to be carrying some cat toys with her that her kids had given her, and gave one to River! 😻 Human kindness is magical.

If you want to take a stand about art at the Kennedy Center, buy tickets for this significant and socially relevant work. Staying away hurts the artists more than the administration, and if new work like this sells poorly, it gives them an excuse to say it's unpopular, and stop programming it.
