In Irish folklore hazel is sacred, and it is said St. Patrick used a hazel wand to drive the serpents from Ireland. He incarcerated one in a lake, the Devil’s Punch Bowl in Killarney, where it pleads for freedom to this day. Listen closely, you may hear its cries! #FolkloreSunday
