During times of crisis (perceived or real) people vote further to the right. This is why the Coalition and their propagandist media are shoving doom & gloom, horror & fear in our faces all the time. They can't get elected on their policies so they're just going to scare up our votes. #auspol

When you solve for the wrong problem, not only do you not get the solution, you can cause harm. The President wasted water that was being saved for farmers for a PR stunt. This was harmful, ludicrous, and solved nothing.

Please excuse my ignorance, Aussie here. Can someone explain executive orders to me. Have googled and can’t understand why trump can rescind previous orders or destroy so many departments etc. seems like a dictatorship rather than a democracy.
