westenglandbylines.co.uk/region/heref... It's hard not to feel hopeless. The A38 has always been a busy road, but lined with mature trees, hedges and daffodils in the spring. Protection for wildlife, nesting habitat for birds and protection from pollution for humans, being ripped up.

Day 10 of #ArtAdventCalendar. Here’s a pastel painting I created a few years ago called ‘Winter Woodcock’. I love watching Woodcock emerging to feed at dusk in the winter. They are one of my favourite birds in the world. ❄️

First visit to Slimbridge yesterday. First time seeing a marsh harrier and goldeneye ducks....but my favourite bit - the colours on this rook.
