I've learned lately on Twitch you have three options to watch games; Elder Scrolls Oblivion, Resident Evil, or Clair Obscur. I think these are the only three games folks are allowed to play on Twitch now, as this is all I ever see anybody playing. Hate saying it, but I think Retro is dead/dying.

I was just getting ready to close my Wal-Mart "waiting in line" tab after about 30 minutes of nothing, when suddenly it went live and allowed me to add to my cart, and fully check-out. Got the confirmation e-mail. Still in line at Best Buy, but I think retailers are releasing in waves.

With this PB, I realize that my PBs in all 3 CV games on the Famicom are sub 1-hour combined. 53:21.98 to beat CV1, CV2 FDS, and CV3J. With enough practice in CV3, I should be able to get a sub-hour trilogy without needing to PB in them all. www.youtube.com/watch?v=r37g...

Today was the first real weekend day of spring where the weather has been "perfect". Low 70's temperature, no wind, come cloud cover to keep the brightness down. Was a great morning to do yardwork. Got the house washed down and cleared of mold and moss, cleared up leaves, ready to plant some seed.

I spent this morning getting savestates made for Castlevania 3 (Japan) the Grant Route. This is a pretty forgiving route since you don't have to worry about item drops as Grant and his dagger throwing makes it easy to avoid contact. Will do some fast casual runs again later today.

With the stock market going to shit, one thing I'm happy about is that I don't buy and trade in stocks. If the market loses 1000 points a day, my net worth remains the same. I've already disposed of the fanciful notion that I'd ever be able to retire anyway. 401k is worthless if I work until dead.

I really get a kick out of watching game demonstration streams where a random person is in chat spouting out things constantly, but they are 100% wrong about everything they say. When called out, they immediately back-pedal and try to cover themselves up. Never understood why people do that.

PBs feel great! Got myself a huge PB in Simon's Quest tonight. Saved 21 seconds thanks to keeping pace throughout the run, then executing the Quad Drop to seal it. In my runback on the very next run, I was 7 seconds AHEAD of this PB going into Drac's Castle, but failed the quad and got a 35:47.

I am a bit of a Mountain Dew addict, and was always upset that the Code Red Zero Sugar wasn't for sale here in the Northeast. I was just introduced to SodaStream and see that Mountain Dew offers the Code Red Zero Sugar syrup for use in that. OMG it is amazing! I love it!

Random, unsolicited feedback at work can do wonders. In a shear gauntlet of meetings today, and a client I work with was saying the nicest things about my presentation style, how I explained things, etc. They said how happy they were to be working with me, and that has just made my day. :)

I'm starting to lose my sanity here with Simon's Quest. It's now been 9 days since my last PB and I have only been able to get a single run going since then with any hope of a PB. The hearts have completely stopped dropping. I'm losing hope of being able to even get another run going, let alone PB.
