World War 3 kinda sucks, but you know, it was either this or pronouns

The New York Times covers trans issues the way Fox News covers ICE protests. Both lead the country to believe there is a conflagration by highlighting a few fires over and over, while ignoring the fact that most people just want to live their lives without the government in their faces.

Two powerful new exhibitions will open at The Branch Museum of Design on Juneteenth, bringing untold voices to the forefront.

Today’s unburied treasure.

ICE is the new SS.

BREAKING: A federal judge ruled all transgender and intersex people can obtain passports that align with their gender identity while the case against President Trump's executive order proceeds. While this is good news, we will continue fighting until this executive order is blocked permanently.

Once again: Suspect Apprehended = White Privilege.

What’s the point of a breakfast sandwich that doesn’t have bacon, I ask you?!?!

In the squares of the city - In the shadow of the steeple Near the relief office - I see my people And some are grumblin' and some are wonderin' If this land's still made for you and me . . . .

Trump on Oct 1, 2024, saying that we are on the brink of WWIII and a “global catastrophe” because Iran just launched missiles at Israel, which never would’ve happened if he was president.

u have been kidnapped and a character from the last tv show u watched is trying to rescue u who is coming to save u.

Canada needs to rename the continent “North Canada”

If your city is destroyed in a hurricane this year, the United States will be too poor to help you rebuild. But if your city is trying to rebuild a democracy with peaceful protests, we have MILLIONS to deploy men with weapons to destroy you.

We're going about this all wrong. Protestors should be burning Confederate flags. MAGA won't know what to do with that . . .

I will be damned if I allow a bunch of Confederate-waving January 6th apologists give the American people a lecture on flag waving. There is ZERO reason to enter an argument about patriotism with people who still worship traitors to America 150+ years later. They. Are. Breaking. The. Law.

Remember, as @reichlinmelnick.bsky.social just reminded me over at the other place, when Ted Cruz and a bunch of top Republicans got mad about Jade Helm in 2015. All mad conspiracy theories about a military takeover. And now they have nothing to say about the military on the streets of LA.

Sending the Marines to shut this down is 2025's Footloose remake.

The 1992 LA riots, the last time the Insurrection Act was invoked, were orders of magnitude greater than what is happening now. There were an unknown number of shootouts. 63 people died. The public's loss of faith in the LAPD was the reason for the riots - so, outside intervention was needed.

this is good

The No Kings protest map will help you find a place to exercise your First Amendment rights this weekend. (It's also a pretty good argument against the Electoral College.) www.nokings.org

ATTN: If you’re a member of the National Guard or you work for ICE and you’re asked to violate the law or your oath, contact Whistleblower Aid to safely, securely, and legally blow the whistle. You can support Whistleblower Aid HERE: whistlebloweraid.org/beans

So Trump’s long promised healthcare plan is . . . NO healthcare.

Trying so hard to be good rn. Jesus take the wheel.

Greta Thunberg: "It's so weird to me that people are separating caring about the environment and the climate to caring about humans... There can be no climate justice without social justice."

watching Donald Trump and Elon Musk argue with each other is like watching a pair of completely backed up toilets argue over who is more full of shit

Rebellions are built on hope.

104 years ago today, one of the worst acts of racial violence in U.S. history unfolded in Tulsa. We will never forget.
