Homelessness is a humanitarian crisis, with an average annual growth of 28% since 2020. We need the province to make it a healthcare priority. While the govt now has *37* cabinet ministers, none has the job of focusing on this crisis. #OnPoli #NationalHousingDay

Hey Ontario, this is what Doug Ford is doing! That 4billion for covid? Poof, health transfers, poof! Gone into the black hole of “general revenue”… whole our healthcare crumbles. We MUST vote these corrupt people out!!!

Perfection.

Non-Natives love Lakotaman1 because he validates them and the stereotypes and misconceptions that they have of Native people.....he doesn't challenge them and he feeds them ally cookies when they've done less than the bare minimum. www.dailydot.com/irl/lakotama...

Ontario...let me give you a heads up here. I live in a remote rural wilderness area and I already have starlink. (For YEARS!) No 100 million government deal needed. What Fordnation is doing..is rigging an upcoming election with your hard earned tax dollars. Get rid of this corrupt fool.

OK, I'm bringing out the big guns to test Bluesky engagement😀 Repost & follow to be in the draw! One randomly selected person will get this signed (& dedicated) copy of the Locked Library special edition of THE BOOK THAT WOULDN'T BURN.

This video shows all the cities and towns that already received funding for affordable housing, co-op housing, apt rentals, housing accelerator, green building housing, veterans housing, seniors, indigenous/1 thread #Canada

THIS video 𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙪𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙠 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙨𝙩 between the competence of the Liberal Government and the woeful incompetence of the Con/Poilievre wannabes.

I really joined Bluesky to talk about books..but recent events have created in me a desire to work towards ensuring this place (gestures towards blue planet we all share!) does not become "The Bad Place" I don't entirely know what to do to stop it, but I plan to at least try

📚♥️ My tickets are booked for this year's Lakefield Literary Festival...I'm looking forward to seeing Drew Haden Taylor there! It all takes place July 19th and 20th. The weekend before that is Haliburton County's Bookapalooza. I have tickets to see Linwood Barclay discuss his new novel. Lucky me!

💙📚 About to start Wavewalker, A Memoir of Breaking Free by Suzanne Heywood. It's my next local bookclub book, and it's a much different read for me, lately I've been reading a lot of fantasy or sci-fi. I know nothing about this book, but willing to try a change of pace.

It’s Friday. Maybe you have a jingle-jangle in your pocket and you like dogs and drinks. If so, you might like to preorder CANINES & COCKTAILS, out next Tuesday from @delilahsdawson.bsky.social, @chuckwendig.bsky.social, and me. Handy link: books2read.com/u/31BYQv

Book mail arrived..thank you Perfect Books in Ottawa! I'm excited to add this to my collection and to read the final chapter of the Seven Kennings, an awesome series.

Next Tuesday! WHAT FEASTS AT NIGHT, the sequel to WHAT MOVES THE DEAD! Be there or, I dunno, don’t, it’s fine, I know horror isn’t everybody’s jam.

A big thank you to Chuck Wendig, whose books I love, for posting about Kevin Hearne, I'm 2/3 the way through the Seven Kennings Trilogy. The books are excellent, I'm very much looking forward to reading the last book. Also if you haven't read Black River Orchard you absolutely should, great book!
