Was Atlanta a good race? 81.5 percent of you said Yes. -- No. 3 of 13 Atlanta races in the poll (both styles combined). The top three are all on New Atlanta.

Sometimes we agree. Sometimes we don’t. Not sure most of you agreed with me this week, but very grateful to those who continue to listen. @DirtyMoMedia

Here’s the podcast version of the 12 Questions. ( 📸: @jzilisch1) https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/podcast/45-12-questions/episode-198/

TWG Global, which owns the Dodgers and Chelsea and has a stake in the Lakers (among other things) has officially formed a motorsports division (TWG Motorsports). TWG's portfolio includes ownership of NASCAR's Spire Motorsports, the new Cadillac F1 team and Andretti Global.

Here's the part of the show where he talks about this: https://youtu.be/KH-zJzZg1M8?si=bJcmYM1lUy3vtqDh&t=2596

Was Atlanta a good race?

Hard to keep up with my mentions tonight because some of you are SO freaking angry with me, but I still think prioritizing safety is the way to go. I get it sucks to be robbed of a finish, but they also have to keep these guys safe. That's not being soft, it's common sense.

Live on The Teardown post-Atlanta coming up shortly. https://www.youtube.com/live/CtjVkHyXZ-g

Ryan Blaney remains the NASCAR Cup Sereis points leader after Race No. 2. Bubba Wallace moves up 16 spots to P5, Kyle Larson moves up 18 spots to P6, Bell up 15 spots to P11. John Hunter Nemechek is P7 in points.

I don't even know what to say, man.

Watching replay on Berry's in car. Looks like Berry got sandwiched by Chastain and Hamlin. Took a couple big hits and spun across the track. "People being stupid for eighth," Berry says.

Looks like Christopher Bell wins the race. Was ahead at the time of caution and there was about to be a three-wide finish. Would like to see the crash that caused it. Sigh.

Overtime (inside-outside) Chastain-Larson front row Hocevar-Bell Berry-Stenhouse Blaney-Hamlin Busch-Wallace

Kyle Larson is told Christopher Bell will either take front row if it's open or go to the top. OVERTIME restart order pre-choose: Larson-Chastain-Bell-Hocevar-Berry-Stenhouse-Blaney-Hamlin-Busch-Wallace are top 10.

Kyle Larson team radio: Spotter Tyler Monn: "Still there still there still there still there!" (Nothing from Larson for a long time) Cliff Daniels: "You OK?" Larson: "Yeah." Daniels: "10-4."

William Byron team radio: Byron: "Dammit! Sorry, guys. ... I don't think it'll move here."

Austin Cindric team radio: Spotter: "Got wrecked." Cindric: "NOT. Clear. Awesome."

Cindric and Byron wreck!! Holy cow! Overtime

Denny Hamlin scrapes the wall!

Five laps remaining. No telling how this one ends!

Chastain goes low and gets P3 past Larson, then picks off Berry as well! But he suddenly gets freight-trained and plummets to 10th.

Ross Chastain (P4, middle Chevy) is told to be ready whenever the four Toyotas make their move from 6-7-8-9.

While Cindric-Berry is a tough duo at the front, you've got a Chevy trifecta of Larson-Chastain-Byron lined up behind them. Chastain is a wild card there. And then Wallace-Reddick-Hamlin-Bell are also lined up 6-7-8-9. Hocevar in P10. Nine laps to go.

Less than 15 laps to go and every driver in the top 10 absolutely thinks they can win from here. And they're right. This has been such a fun race.

Carson Hocevar is told: "Be smart. Long way to go." He's in contention with less than 20 laps remaining.

Back to green with 22 laps remaining. Berry-Chastain-Cindric-Larson

Carson Hocevar team radio: Spotter: "Easy, easy...caution is out." Hocevar: "He zigged when I zagged. My fault." "I agree. He moved down to block you when you were just going to try and center him up."

Ryan Blaney goes for a long spin from the low lane. Caution. Blaney says has to pit now with flat tires, can't wait until pit road is open.

There was a lot of commentary about the state of superspeedway racing last week and for anyone who didn't grasp what the pundits were trying to say, we present to you....Atlanta Freaking Motor Speedway. Beautiful.

48 laps to go when they take the green. Berry-Blaney-Busch-Hocevar-Cindric-Logano-Byron-Larson-Chastain-SVG-Bell-Reddick-JHN-Hamlin-Preece-Wallace-Dinger-McDowell-Gilliland-Herbst-Haley-McLeod-Briscoe-Smith-Dillon-Elliott-Stenhouse are the 27 lead-lap cars.

Chris Buescher team radio: Spotter told him to watch the 19 up ahead but then Buescher couldn't get out of it. At first they just needed tires but then driving back to the pits tore the car up and parts and pieces flew off.

Oh, never mind. I missed that Briscoe stacked it up and Buescher spun and hit Bowman. Whoops, sorry.

Chase Briscoe hit the wall and just as he did, Ty Gibbs spun. Caution No. 8. Briscoe says his wheel might be a touch off to the left, but otherwise his car seems OK.

Coming to a restart with 68 laps to go. Cars are a little short on fuel and will need to save if it goes green. Busch-Briscoe-Byron-Blaney-Dillon-Cindric-Berry-Buescher-Reddick-SVG-Logano-Hocevar-Bell-Hamlin-Wallace-Bowman-Larson-Chastain-Dinger-Smith-JHN

Cole Custer team radio after wreck: "You alright?" (Car is on fire under hood and he tries to fire it up) "I'll stay in I guess, but it's gotta be killed. It was on fire for a second. It would fire up and it had oil pressure and it has water pressure, but I can't move."

Cody Ware team radio after wreck: "You OK?" "I'm on fire and I can't get my frickin' helmet hose off!" "Alright, safety crews are with you."

Ty Gibbs team radio: Spotter: "Three-mid. Smart. Smart. Straight, straight, straight." (Wrecks) Crew chief: "Whaddya have?" Ty: "Everything." "Bring it to the box." "I'll try my best."

Daniel Suarez team radio after wreck: "Sorry, guys. I was just waiting to slide up there." (Think that's what he said, was a little hard to hear)

Noah Gragson team radio after wreck: "Get it fired up if you can." "Stuck." Getting a tow now.

Make that P8 now. This has been fun to watch on the in-car

Austin Cindric has gone 32nd to 17th on this restart.

Stat guys: What is the most free passes in one race? Does McDowell have a chance at the record?

Three-wide for the stage win! And Kyle Larson picks up a stage win on a superspeedway. 2. Wallace 3. Logano 4. Byron 5. Bowman 6. Reddick 7. Hocevar 8. Stenhouse 9. Cindric 10. Gragson
