Plastic Surgery clinics are literally the example I use for companies who pay ransoms. I've seen half a dozen pop up on dark web blogs with all traces of them gone within 24 hours.

Imagine telling a 2004 George Dubya Republican that in 2025 the 2 most powerful people in the US government will be a convicted felon and an immigrant. They'd immediately assume the Dems had finally let illegal immigrants vote and conquered America.
