Being Black is weird during the times of Trump presidency. People start really, really caring about state violence but only under the terms of his rule, so it’s a mix of “YES, this is wrong,” and “Meh, this isn’t that out of character for the US.”

One thing I’d say about ranked choice voting in NYC is that you don’t have to do complex calculations of viability. You should rank in order of *who you want to be mayor* and if you *don’t* want someone to be mayor, you shouldn’t rank them!
