(not so) fun train fact I've learned tonight! After spending $181 million on the Point Defiance Bypass to shave some minutes off the SEA-PDX Amtrak Cascades route, we then waste a couple minutes to stop so our conductor can hop out and manually operate the crossing arms in South Tacoma. 😕
